RIMS Australasia Chapter roundtable | ESG Risks

When:  Mar 28, 2023 from 03:00 PM to 04:30 PM (AEST)
Associated with  Australasia

Please join us for our first risk roundtable for 2023 sponsored by Marsh. We will be joined by Sophie Griffin who is an expert on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) risks. ESG Risks are proving to be some of the greatest challenges facing organisations today. So much so that in the recent Global Risks Report, published by the World Economic Forum, eight of the top 10 most severe risks were found to be ESG related risks.

Why it Matters to you?

ESG issues can be material to both internal and external stakeholders of an organisation, and that organisations need to manage these issues from both perspectives. This means that organisations need to consider the potential impact of ESG issues on their financial performance, as well as the impact of their operations on society and the environment.

Key stakeholders, capital providers, regulators, customers, employees and partners/suppliers, are concerned with and embedded in how well an organisation understands and manages ESG risks and opportunities.

Understanding and evidencing an organisation’s ESG performance and risk management is increasingly becoming a mandatory stakeholder review process. ESG maturity and performance may mean the difference in strategic outcomes for your business, including access to and the cost of all types of finance.

This will be a hybrid event with the opportunity to attend in person or dial in via zoom. There will be a limited number of in person spots so get in quick if this is your preference.
